Jefferson County Farm Tour will return the weekend of September 16-17! Come celebrate local food, fiber, and farm-made products while exploring local farms and meeting the farmers who work hard to nourish our community. This year, fourteen local farms are participating (including a few of the 18 that you’ve helped protect forever with your support of the Land Trust) plus a few school gardens.

Table with Land Trust gear and three people chatting

We had a great time meeting folks from the community at Kodama during Farm Tour 2022.

The Land Trust will have a table at Kodama Farm & Food Forest on Saturday, September 16 and Sunday, September 17. Please stop by and say hello anytime between 10:00 am – 4:00 pm; our staff and board members love visiting and talking to people out in the community! (Kodama was permanently protected by the Land Trust in 2021.)

The family-friendly Farm Tour, now in its 21st year, is produced annually by the great folks at the Production Alliance. On Friday evening, get a jumpstart on the tour by kicking up your heels at the Loft Dance at Brigid’s Loft in Port Townsend. Then, on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, everyone’s invited on a self-guided tour of farms across Jefferson County. There will also be live music and fun workshops throughout the weekend at Finnriver Farm & Cidery. And of course, don’t miss the farmers markets — Saturday in Uptown Port Townsend and Sunday at the Chimacum Corner Farmstand.

Visit the Jefferson County Farm Tour website for more information.

Kodama’s Nigerian Dwarf goats are a big hit with kids and grown-ups during Farm Tour!

Participation in Farm Tour is free, but the suggested $10 donation per car can be paid at any of the farms or at “Farm Tour Central” at the Chimacum Corner Farmstand, where you can also pick up Farm Tour brochures. Brochures are also available now in our office at 1033 Lawrence Street in Uptown Port Townsend and at other local businesses. Download a map showing all of the Farm Tour stops here.

The Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce also invites you you to experience Farm Tour on your bike for the first annual Tour D’Farm! Registration is $20, and includes refreshments at the Tour D’Farm check-in at the Visitor Information Center (2409 Jefferson St) and some Tour D’Farm swag. Visit at least five of the participating farms to be entered in a drawing for some fabulous prizes!

The Farm Tour is currently looking for volunteers throughout the weekend. Click here to view available shifts and sign up. With questions or concerns about volunteering, please contact Magdalene Adenau, Volunteer Coordinator, at magdalene[at]theproductionalliance.org or 360.643.3255.
