Ever feel stuck, like you’ve got your feet in the mud? Us too! Especially at Chai-yahk-wh Preserve, where our lovely and well-loved trail needs a bit of toughening up. After the first year of use, we’re ready to give this trail’s tread some TLC by laying down gravel that will help make the surface more durable. The pedestrians as well as the plants and animals downslope of the potential mud zone will thank us! Part 1 of 2 work parties.
Please note: this work party involves heavy lifting, wheelbarrowing, and raking of gravel.
The Chai-yahk-wh Preserve parking area is located on Flagler Road, across from Griffith Point Road, on Marrowstone Island.
To ensure safe working conditions and limit the spread of COVID-19, we’re following state and local guidelines and limiting our work parties to 4 volunteers and 1 staff person. Registration is required. Please use the registration form below to sign up.
