Explore Ludlow Creek and surrounding habitat

Date: 04/29/2026 | Starts: 8:30 AM | Ends: 12:00 PM

Wednesday, April 29 • 8:30 am – 12:00 pm

Join Jefferson Land Trust’s Natural History Society on Wednesday, April 29, on a hike at Ludlow Creek. This will be a loop hike of approximately 2.5 miles, with some steep sections where you may want hiking poles for safety. The creekside experience includes cascades of Ludlow Creek making its way to Ludlow Bay. We’ll enjoy birding with Jackie Canterbury, wildflowers, old growth and second growth forest, ferns and mosses, and learn some history of logging in this area. There will be an optional extension for an afternoon hike for anyone interested. For those interested, after lunch/snack break, John Goldwood will lead an easier four-mile hike on the Timberton Trail. RSVP to John at john.goldwood@gmail.com.
