Get ready for an unforgettable summer evening at LandFest, Jefferson Land Trust’s annual fundraising dinner — this year with a fresh twist at the stunning Quilcene Lantern! This lush 53-acre property, protected permanently by the Land Trust in late 2018, is not only a venue and local hub for performing arts, it’s also home to vital wildlife habitat and helps to protect the water quality of the north Hood Canal.

We’ll enjoy a mouthwatering feast with all the fixings from Mo-Chilli BBQ, sip on Marrowstone Vineyards wine, Chimacum Valley Grainery beer, and Finnriver cider, and savor hors d’oeuvres and desserts crafted with fresh local ingredients by Chef Dan Ratigan and his team from the Fireside Restaurant at the Resort at Port Ludlow.
Our special guest speakers Loni Greninger (Director of Culture and Vice-Chair, Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe), Scott Freeman (author, educator, forest owner, and co-founder of the Jefferson Timber Collective), and Hazel Windstorm (local student) will inspire us with their reflections on the importance of the land in our lives, and for the future of our community.
Then, after dinner, we’ll kick up our heels at a lively barn dance! Regional favorite Sweater Weather String Band will keep your toes tapping, with veteran dance caller David Thielk leading the way. No experience needed — just bring your dancing shoes and a spirit of fun!
Come for the food, friends, and festivity, and stay to support community-driven conservation that keeps our landscapes, wildlife, and community thriving — both now and for generations to come.
Stay tuned for more details and be sure to save the evening of Thursday, July 24 on your calendar! We hope you’ll join us.
