Fear not, we have more jewelweed to share! We’ll continue pulling up this shade-loving, damp-loving overly competitive plant. This week brings us to the restoration area of our Snow Creek Uncas Preserve, and an otherwise healthy riparian forest. Access involves some fancy stepping over small side channels and logs, but with plenty of time for a rest break next to this lovely recovering stream and epic log jam project.
Directions: Travel south on Hwy 20 approximately 10 miles, then turn left onto Hwy 101 South. Follow Hwy 101 South approximately 1.3 miles and turn right onto West Uncas Road. Parking is available on West Uncas Road near the corner of Wycoff Road. Please do NOT park on Wycoff Road.
