Farm tour poster reads "23rd annual jefferson county farm tour - celebrating locally grown food, fiber & farm-made products, september 13 and 14"The 23rd Annual Jefferson County Farm Tour is coming up on the weekend of September 13-14! On Saturday and Sunday, the community is invited to visit 13 featured agricultural properties across Jefferson County for self-guided tours.

This beloved annual event is a great opportunity to explore your local farms, meet the farmers who care for these lands, pick up some fresh produce and farm products, and more!

This year, Land Trust staff and Board members are pleased to be hosted at two local farms, both of which are permanently protected by the Land Trust: Kodama Farm & Food Forest at 42 Tall Tree Lane in Chimacum (protected in 2021) and Compass Rose Farms at 1463 W. Uncas Road in Port Townsend (protected in 2007). We’ll be greeting guests and answering questions at both locations on both Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. We hope you’ll stop by!

Participation in Farm Tour is free; however, a suggested $10 donation per car can be given at any of the participating farms.

We had a great time meeting folks from the community at Kodama during Farm Tour 2022.

Farm Tour is produced in partnership by The Production Alliance and Washington State University Extension. Brochures and maps to supplement the tour will be available onsite at all participating farms during Farm Tour weekend, and at “Farm Tour Central” at the Chimacum Corner Farmstand (9122 Rhody Drive, Chimacum). Volunteers at each property will distribute these materials, collect donations, orient tour-goers, and make route recommendations.

In partnership with the community, Jefferson Land Trust is proud to have helped permanently protect 22 Jefferson County farms — nearly 1,500 acres of agricultural land. Productive farms strengthen our economy and our food security while preserving our rural ways of life and the scenic open spaces we love. By working with willing landowners to place protective conservation easements on local farmland, the Land Trust helps ensure it will remain available as working farmland for all time.

All of us at the Land Trust look forward to Farm Tour each year, and encourage you to join us at this wonderful community event. See you on the farm!
