Reed Riker
Please join us in welcoming Reed Riker, our newest AmeriCorps habitat enhancement crew member. You may recognize Reed’s friendly face from his time working at the Chimacum Corner Farmstand. Now, he’s joined Jefferson Land Trust’s field crew, helping care for our protected preserves through hands-on stewardship work.
A lifelong Washingtonian, Reed developed a deep love for the region’s flora, fauna, and landscapes. A formative spring on the Olympic Peninsula, spent taking virtual college classes beneath a peregrine falcon nest and witnessing orcas teach their young to hunt, cemented his commitment to environmental advocacy.
That path has led him to Jefferson Land Trust, where he’s excited to dive in. As Reed puts it, “I’m honored to contribute to the Land Trust’s conservation mission.”
If you’re out on our preserve trails this season, keep an eye open for Reed and the rest of our field crew as they work to keep these special places healthy and thriving for years to come.
