You’re invited to Jefferson Land Trust’s 2025 virtual Conservation Breakfast! Join us Thursday, March 6, from 9:00 – 10:30 am, for this year’s inspiring program: “Reconnecting Kids and Nature Through Outdoor Education.”

We’re thrilled to welcome Richard Louv, author of the groundbreaking bestseller Last Child in the Woods: Saving Our Children from Nature-Deficit Disorder, as our featured speaker. Louv, who coined the term “Nature-Deficit Disorder,” will discuss the strong connection between mental well-being, learning, and access to outdoor experiences — as well as the challenges and solutions surrounding Nature-Deficit Disorder.

Over the past several years, the Land Trust has provided nature-based curriculum for teachers and organized field trips for thousands of Jefferson County students, helping to empower them through hands-on learning experiences on Land Trust preserves. You’ll also hear from Land Trust staff and local educators about how we’re connecting local children to nature by making place-based outdoor education accessible to all local public school students and the positive impacts this is having across our community.

There’s no cost to attend this popular annual event, so reserve your spot today at saveland.org/breakfast!
