Spring Break Youth Corps is a one-week, $350 paid internship. Alongside Jefferson Land Trust staff and volunteers, nine local students will learn about and undertake a variety of habitat enhancement and conservation activities on permanently protected nature preserves across East Jefferson County. Students will also learn about a variety of conservation and natural resources-related career paths from natural resource professionals and other local experts.

Applications will be accepted from March 14 through March 30; applicants will be notified on March 31. To learn more, please visit saveland.org/youth-corps.

One of our 2022 Youth Corps alumni, Claire, had such a positive experience with the program that she returned to Jefferson Land Trust as a 2023 summer intern. She said, “When I did Youth Corps, I was like ‘Wow, this is exactly what I was looking for.’ I really enjoyed the experience.”
