We’re pleased to share the good news that the Olympic Peninsula Farmers Fund has opened a second round of funding to distribute more than $70,000 in pre-purchase contracts to local farms impacted by Covid-19.

Thanks to your support of our Strong Farms, Strong Farms appeal earlier this year, the first round of funding awarded contracts to twelve Olympic Peninsula farms, which are now supplying cheese, potatoes, produce, eggs, milk, and honey to local food banks, ensuring that local families have the healthy food they need in these difficult times. And, as a result of the program, new business relationships between local farms and food banks have been established that are expected to continue once the program ends.

The application deadline for the second round of awards is Friday, October 23rd. Please share this link with the farms you love!

The Olympic Peninsula Farmers Fund was made possible by generous community donors to the North Olympic Peninsula Resource Conservation & Development Council (NODC), WSU Extension Small Farms Program, North Olympic Land Trust, and Jefferson Land Trust’s Strong Farms, Strong Futures appeal, and by funds from the CARES Act allocated by Jefferson and Clallam Counties, and the Benjamin N. Phillips Memorial Fund of the Seattle Foundation.
