We’re pleased to announce that nominations for the the 2026 Fairbank Award for Youth Environmental Action are now open, and will be accepted until midnight on February 14, 2026.
The award, and accompanying $1,500 cash prize, is given to a young person (age 12-19) living in Jefferson County who has, in the last year, shown leadership, commitment, and innovation to build a community that’s healthy, happy, sustainable, and deeply connected to nature for generations to come.
Jefferson Land Trust established the Fairbank Award for Youth Environmental Action in 2023 in honor of longtime Land Trust volunteers and supporters Sarah and Owen Fairbank.
Do you know any amazing young leaders? Anyone (including peers) can nominate a young person they know!
