Thanks to Community Support, We’re Closing in on Our Fundraising Goal!

With less than six weeks left in our fundraising campaign, we’re excited to report that we’ve secured more than 85 percent of the funding necessary to purchase a rare, large undeveloped property on Marrowstone Island.

If we’re successful, the proposed 51-acre preserve (located next to Twin Vista Ranch and Sound View Cemetery) will feature a pedestrian walking trail through a lush forest, outdoor education space, and excellent wildlife habitat.

We’re more than 85% to our goal! Please donate today to help save this special place.

“With a cost of more than $1 million and a tight timeline, we weren’t sure we’d be able to make this preserve a reality,” said Sarah Spaeth, the Land Trust’s Director of Conservation and Strategic Partnerships. “However, the community’s support has been fantastic so far and I’m hopeful that we’ll finish strong and raise the last of the funding necessary to protect this special place on Marrowstone Island.”
