Greg Sachs
Please join us in bidding a fond farewell to Field Assistant Greg Sachs, who stepped down from his position in early November.
Greg first joined us in the fall of 2023 as an AmeriCorps habitat enhancement crew member. When his service term ended the following summer, we hired him as our full-time Field Assistant. A key member of our field crew, Greg helped care for the lands we protect, undertaking important restoration projects and land management practices on our nature preserves.

“I will miss all the fun and important work that I’ve been a part of with an incredible group of people, including the staff, board, and volunteers that make this work a success,” Greg says. “I want to express my deep appreciation to everyone who I’ve met along this path and hope we can cross paths again further down the trail.”
Bringing skill, dedication, and sincere belief in our mission to his work, Greg was a valued member of our team. In addition to his work on our preserves, he helped with our youth education programs and frequently contributed his excellent nature photography. He was a familiar friendly face at volunteer work parties and around the office, as well as the ace pitcher of the Summer Chums, the Land Trust’s summer 2025 softball team!
Greg is leaving the Land Trust to launch an ecologically focused landscaping company with a focus on habitat restoration. Thank you, Greg, for all your hard work over the last two years, and best of luck with your future endeavors!
