On Saturday and Sunday, the community is welcome to visit 15 featured properties across Jefferson County. On this self-guided tour, you’ll get the chance to visit beautiful local farms, meet the farmers who care for these lands, pick up fresh produce and farm products, and more!

This year, Land Trust staff and Board members are pleased to be hosted again by Kodama Farm & Food Forest in Chimacum (Kodama was permanently protected by the Land Trust in 2021). We’ll be greeting guests and answering questions there on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. We hope you’ll stop to say hello to us — and to Kodama’s adorable Nigerian Dwarf goats!

Farm Tour, which is produced by The Production Alliance, supplements the self-guided tours with brochures and maps, which are now available to pick up at local businesses and organizations, including the Land Trust’s office at 1033 Lawrence Street in Uptown Port Townsend. During Farm Tour weekend, you can pick up these materials at “Farm Tour Central” (9122 Rhody Drive, Chimacum) and onsite at all participating farms. Volunteers at each property will distribute these materials, collect donations, orient tour-goers, and make route recommendations.

Participation in Farm Tour is free, but there’s a suggested $10 donation per car, which you can pay at any of the participating farms.

In partnership with the community, Jefferson Land Trust is proud to have helped to permanently protect 21 Jefferson County farms — more 1,300 acres of agricultural land. Productive farms strengthen our economy and our food security while preserving our rural ways of life and the scenic open spaces we love. By working with willing landowners to place protective conservation easements on local farmland, the Land Trust can ensure it will remain available as working farmland for all time.Jefferson County Farm Tour
