Join us for a monthly volunteer work party at Chimacum Ridge Community Forest to help get it ready to open in 2025!
We’ll be working on what will become the main access trail to Chimacum Ridge from the Valley View Forest parking lot by smoothing sections of the trail with shovels and rakes; moving, raking, and tamping gravel; cutting out roots with shovels; cutting vegetation and ditch small channels for water to run off; and pulling noxious weeds from trailsides.
We recommend that you bring water, sun protection, closed toe shoes/boots that you don’t mind getting dirty, work gloves, eye protection, and a snack. We’ll provide extra water and snacks during the day.
Can’t make it? The next Chimacum Ridge Community Forest Weekend Work Party will be Saturday, October 19, 9:00 am – noon at Valley View Forest.

Directions: Meet at the Valley View Forest Preserve parking lot at 1717 Center Road, Chimacum. From Chimacum Corner, travel 1.7 miles south on Center Road to the gravel driveway on the left. Carpooling encouraged.
