August is National “Make a Will Month”: Get Started Today

This August, during National “Make-A-Will” Month, you can use a handy online tool to create your will in roughly 20 minutes and then spend the rest of the year enjoying the knowledge that you’ve prepared for the future.

If you’ve been meaning to write a will but don’t know where to start, the Land Trust is excited to offer a no-cost online tool called FreeWill that simplifies the process. Use this easy tool to protect those you cherish, and if you wish, to leave a legacy for the future by including a bequest to Jefferson Land Trust and/or other nonprofits close to your heart.

This tool simplifies the process so you can:

• Clearly define your future intentions, ensuring that your wishes are realized
• Secure the future of your loved ones while considering the causes dear to your heart
• Gain the comfort and reassurance of knowing that your plans are thoughtfully laid out

For most people, drafting a will in FreeWill takes about 20 minutes. You can choose to share this information with the Land Trust, or remain anonymous.
