Chimacum Ridge Community Forest Weeklong Work Party: Gravelwork

Date: 06/24/2025 | Starts: 9:30 AM | Ends: 4:00 PM

Work Party

Tuesday, June 24 • 9:30 am – 12:30 pm and 1:00 – 4:00 pm • Chimacum Ridge Community Forest •

Join us for a big push to finish the second segment of the multi-use trail by spreading and compacting gravel. We’ll need help during every shift to make the most of our rented equipment.

Volunteers working multiple shifts will have the opportunity to learn how to safely operate mechanized wheelbarrows if they wish to. We’ll need plenty of help with shoveling, raking, and tamping the gravel.

Each day, we’ll have a morning shift from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm and an afternoon shift from 1:00 – 4:00 pm. Click here to sign up for your preferred shift on the form. Please enter your first name and last initial in the shift you’d like to join. More than one person can sign up per shift.

The multi-use trail is the southernmost trail. (If you’re standing in the parking lot facing the forest with your back to the road, it’s the trail to your right.)

Directions: Meet at the Valley View Forest parking lot at 1717 Center Road, Chimacum. From Chimacum Corner, travel 1.7 miles south on Center Road to the gravel driveway on the left.
