Work Party

Volunteer at Snow Creek

Snow Creek is a salmon-bearing stream that flows into Discovery Bay. Community groups and volunteers work hard to keep the stream and salmon healthy. Come help!

Calling all volunteers! Come out and help remove the blue tubes that have been protecting saplings from recent restoration. Now the young trees need room to stretch and grow! It’s all part of a project to reforest a clearcut above Snow Creek so that water draining into Snow Creek remains clean and cold for salmon and other wildlife.

Directions:  Come to the corner of Wycoff St., and W. Uncas Rd near Discovery Bay, Port Townsend. From Port Townsend, travel south on Hwy 20 approximately 10 miles, then turn left onto Hwy 101 S. Follow Hwy 101 south approximately 1.3 miles and turn right onto W. Uncas Rd. Parking is available on W. Uncas Rd near the corner of Wycoff Rd. Contact Carrie by March 18 to carpool from Port Townsend.
