Donovan Creek is home to a recovering salmon run, and birds and wildlife of all kinds. Come help cut branches and blackberry away from the protective fence around the Preserve, and help dig up blackberries that threaten to overtake our young trees.
Meet at Hood Canal Ranger’s Station in Quilcene at 10 am to caravan to the work site. Contact Carrie at cclendaniel[at]saveland.org for more details.
To ensure safe working conditions and limit the spread of COVID-19 we’re limiting our work parties to 10 participants (registration required – see form below).
If you suspect you may have been exposed or are not feeling well, we ask that you please stay home. We also recommend that you read Jefferson County Public Health’s latest update urging those at risk to “shelter in place” and follow the guidelines outlined in the document.
Please bring your own gloves if you have them; however, we’ll have clean gloves for you to borrow if you don’t. We’ll practice safe distancing, will have hand sanitizer onsite, and are discouraging carpooling at this time.
Contact Carrie at cclendaniel[at]saveland.org if you have any questions.
