Dave Rugh retired from NOAA in 2010 after 34+ years of studying Alaska’s marine mammals. This research resulted in more than 250 scientific documents on a dozen different species, including 85 publications in 22 peer-reviewed journals and encyclopedias. Dave’s career began when he was offered a “dream job,” so enticing that he left his doctoral studies at the Institute of Polar Studies in Ohio, coming away with a MSc degree in Zoology.
Dave Rugh and Wendy Feltham are co-chairs of the Natural History Society, which generally has local outings each month. This is an outreach program that is part of Jefferson Land Trust.
