Another wonderful Jefferson County Farm Tour is complete! During the weekend of September 14 and 15, participating farms across Jefferson County opened to the public for self-guided tours. Jefferson Land Trust staff and board members were pleased to be hosted by the fantastic farmers at Kodama Farm & Food Forest, which we helped to permanently protect in 2021.

As always, Farm Tour was a great opportunity for everyone to get out on the land, celebrate local food and farm products, and meet and support the farmers and farming families who work so hard to nourish our community.

At beautiful Kodama Farm, we had a great time chatting about conservation and farmland projects with community members, enjoying the tranquil setting, and of course, getting acquainted with some of Kodama’s adorable Nigerian Dwarf goats!

In partnership with the community, Jefferson Land Trust has protected 21 local farms and counting. This year, two of these protected farms participated in Farm Tour: Kodama Farm and Compass Rose Farms.

Congratulations to the Production Alliance (who produce Farm Tour) on another successful year, and to all the volunteers who made this beloved community event possible. See you next year!
