Work Party

Duckabush River

The Duckabush River’s floodplains and wetlands make for great wildlife habitat that support a diversity of species.

Calling all volunteers! Come help dig up non-native blackberry to help restore healthy native wildlife habitat on the Duckabush River. We’ll give recently planted native trees a head start by digging out the blackberry crowns that surround them.

Directions: From Highway 101 in Brinnon, take Duckabush Rd; turn left on River Rd; Duckabush Oxbow and Wetlands Preserve is at the end of River Rd. Contact Carrie to carpool from Port Townsend.

Contact Carrie at cclendaniel@saveland.org if you have any questions.
